Tiepolo, again. He drew and painted a lot of faces looking up or looking down. Most of his drawings I've seen show younger people looking up and gray beards looking down. Something about the hope and promise of youth vs. the despair and disappointment of age. I'll be doing a lot of looking down in self portraits.
